Kevin Sprague

and his wife, Cindy (the inspiration for the Hippie Chicken) live in the tiny little town of King Ferry, NY. It is just a stone’s throw north of Ithaca, near beautiful Cayuga Lake.

Kevin has been cartooning for more years than he cares to admit. Some of his earliest work can still be viewed, chiselled into cave walls around the area.

Shortly after the Stone Age, there used to be these printed things called “newspapers” (google it). During this time period, Kevin was a self-syndicated editorial cartoonist. His work appeared in some regional publications and a couple times nationally in USA Today.

More recently, he “got on the bus”, as it were - and now prefers drawing poultry to politics.

Kevin is also a musician. He builds cigar box guitars and other homemade instruments and is one of the founding members of the make-shift hobo-rock band: “the Muckland Crooners.”
